Our journey..
Where do we begin… My HMO has been quite the journey. We are husband and wife who had that typical life, both worked in the Cooperate world, juggling the 9 to 5 and two young children. But lets take it back to the beginning where growing up we both separately decided to invest our money into property…
Mani bought her first flat at 21, deciding to take it on as a project, completely tearing out the kitchen and transforming the whole property with the aim of moving into it. It was only once the transformation was complete that Mani realised the potential of letting the property, and accidental BRRR! Mani enjoyed this buzz and decided to buy another flat and repeat the process, this time a deliberate BRRR! Mani acquired a small portfolio of properties before meeting Vic.
Meanwhile Vic invested in his first property in 2007, he had also grown up in and around property, building up a portfolio through the BRRR strategy. As landlords we understood how exhausting it is managing properties. We would hear friends and family complain about voids, tenant issues and constant maintenance. That was our lightbulb moment, we enjoy managing properties and working with tenants – why don’t we help take out the stress of finding and managing tenants for our clients!
The timing was perfect and we decided to take the leap and here we are today… Well the rest is history, this was just the start.. The ideas kept flowing and we wanted to take it to the next level, tapping into HMOs and Social Housing. We always stay humble and are grateful for the opportunities we have, we wanted to give something back to the community which is why we started working with Social Housing Providers (well Mani likes to own that side of the business). Vic focuses on the HMO and property management side.
